What trim and what trans? Also, how is the suspension tuning? And how quick does it feel? Most mags have a 0-60 around 6.5 seconds seems it would be quicker.

Ever driven a Mk6? How would you compare the two?

Autobahn, DSG. only thing it didn't have was the Performance Pack I believe. Suspension is great. Stiffer than my '12 TDI in normal mode, of course, and Sport mode definitely stiffens it more. Neither mode was too uncomfortable going over road imperfections however, you can tell they are there. For me it was a good balance of just enough road feel without being spine jarring. Getting on some twisties I tried, but couldn't make it understeer. More throttle seemed to make it turn in more. I can't wait to drive a PP GTI with that variable diff.

Can't give exact 0-60 (didn't time it) but using launch control with a 3k RPM launch was closer to 6 seconds counting it off in my head (very subjective I know). Needless to say the butt dyno was very pleased.

It has to be, the previous gen was much down below 6 seconds with the DSG.

Can't report on mileage. Didn't have a long enough drive plus I was hooning to much to care to pay attention to it.

You mentioned that Sport mode made it stiffer, did this car have the DCCS I thought the adaptive suspension wasn't available yet

I have driven both a MK6 GTI and TDI. (I own a 2012 TDI.) I would describe the car overall as familiar but upgraded. You can definitely feel the weight loss in acceleration and through the corners. Body roll is basically non-existent compared to my car. The extra headroom even with the sunroof is a definite plus. The '15 feels much faster thean the '12 I drove before I bought my car.

Now that you say that it must have just been the steering change that I was feeling because you are correct. Damn car salesmen...

Haha extremely. Didn't even see that beetle on the lot when we were there.
